Tinder files UDRP complaint over SWIPE brand mark
Tinder LLC, operator of the well-known Tinder dating app, went after the domain KinkySwipe.com, arguing that Respondent’s adult “kinky/fetish” dating platform in Cyprus trades on Tinder’s SWIPE trademark, used since 2013 for swipe-based dating services and registered in multiple jurisdictions.

Complainant said SWIPE has become synonymous with its app, that kinkyswipe.com copies the SWIPE mark in full with a sexual qualifier, and that offering casual hook-up and swinger services under “kinkyswipe” harms the reputation of its SWIPE brand, which it positions as aimed at more serious relationships.

Nafti @Nafti is that you above using SAW?

I love their control panel, such a small learning curve and everything at your fingertips.
Yeah, I have been using SAW.com for a few of my domains. I really love their control panel as well and their landing pages look amazing.

Owning KinkySwipe.com with an adult site up is definitely risky due to the TM and using it in a similar fashion as Tinder.

It’s definitely a good thing that the word Swipe is so generic otherwise this one could have went the other way.

Swipe is also used/mentioned often for payment methods. I was contacted a few years ago by a payment processing company using SwipeXxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.ca looking to upgrade.
