Clearly that's because WHC gives these heavy-traffic/SEO domains their primary attention, and therefore win the vast majority.
AutismSpeaks.ca was going to sell for a high amount no matter where it was auctioned off, but WHC front-loaded their servers to get it.
In the meantime, getaways.ca is bidding at $1200+ over at Grape 10 minutes to closing time.
It's a cool domain though.

I was looking at Versus, but it's one of those weird ones that sounds a LOT better than it really is. Plus, as I had not preordered at Grape, (hence no discount) the $471 next-highest bid was out my range for that one.
But I would imagine the winner won it for less than $421, probably around $300, which is reasonable.

Not sure if it brings traffic or backlinks But it is a really good domain on its own for someone who is actually going to develop it into or maybe forward it to their travel site imho.
