No harm in responding to the complaint to try to keep the domain. It's a generic word for crying out loud. Parked at Sedo and asking $100k.
As long as there has been no tm infringement or ppc ads for banking, etc, it would be a slam dunk if it were .com or .ca

Exactly. There is significant precedent for generic words like this and I'm thinking the complainant is hoping you just don't respond.
