I was doing some invoicing today for a new payment plan sale. For some reason the thought came into my head about sales per province and comparing that to the % of population in Canada. So just for fun...

Percentages below are from the past 5 years, and include only revenues received, not any outstanding revenues for pending sales or from payment plans. I asterisked the out-performing provinces. Nothing too surprising there, but Ontario is definitely picking up the slack for the smaller provinces. And although I hear others slag Quebec, they're holding their own in my books. My own BC needs to step it up a bit. And little PEI is making their mark. Anyone ever sold a domain to one of the territories???

ON 35%
QC 3%
AB 0%
BC 6%
MB 3%
PE 0%
SK 0%
NB 0%
NS 0%
NL 0%
NU 0%
NT 0%
YK 0%

Hong Kong 8%
China (other than Hong Kong) 36%
USA 8%
UK 1%

I also pulled out only the last 5 years and did not bother to separate .com and .CA, the above numbers reflect all my sales in percentage.

I am currently selling 47% .CA to 53% .COM

I bought a few .com catalogs so the .com's I own now outnumber my .ca's but that will change as I've dropped virtually all non .com's including over 400 .nets.

PS. I do not offer payment plans and have no outstanding balances on the books.

For me the exercise was just to compare provinces, so I was referring to just .CA domain sales and based only on the buyer's billing province, i.e. sales to non-canadians were not included. Just trying to keep the content .CA relevant to the .CA forum.
