Getting 100% of your purchase price in tax deductions is incredibly difficult in the USA (probably impossible in Canada) and usually concerns extremely rare and prestigious items (that relate to that specific organization) that the charity, non-profit, etc. will sign off on. That's because the receiving organization will need to account for the full donation value.
You can't just drive your old car (or old computers, furniture, etc.) down to a charity and get 100% of the book value for it. But maybe donating a Van Gogh to the Met would work out a lot better.
