Has anyone here got any of the old legacy provincial names like something.on.ca, something.pe.ca, something.ns.ca, etc?

I know they cant be registered anymore, but I’m curious if any are still privately held by regular people or small businesses.

If so, would you sell it?

For most of them, I already have it. For some, I had the .ca first, then bought all the provincials.

I didn't think the last scenario was allowed under CIRA. Must be some weird grandfathering going on there.

Right before they announced the end of the provincials, that's when I went and registered a bunch that I wanted, they are ones I thought had some geographical relevance.

For example, I registered them all for AutoInsurance.ca.

Any for sale? Have you got a list of them?

Nah, not really, they were mostly for me, if I got around to developing them. I'm a bit of a hoarder, so they're just in the collection.

i have a few random one-offs that I've picked up over the years. There's only one that I can think of that I'm holding on to specifically in case the .ca ever drops.

Just curious, why are you interested in provincials? Are you looking for a specific province? I like the idea that the provincials might have that appearance of being official/government sites to younger generations that don't know the history behind them.

Honestly I just like old oddball relics. Same as antiques, old signs, grandfathered weird stuff, I think they’re cool. The old provincial domains have that vibe to me.
