DomainForum.ca is available for anyone wanting a side hustle
We already have dnforum.ca so I'm not a player on DomainForum.ca
Before anyone decides to go that way, please know that:

1. making a forum from nothing into something is a lot of work
2. maintaining a forum is a lot of work
3. monetizing a forum is a lot of work

In most cases: effort > reward

Engaging users is a constant when you own a forum and people come and go. When something hits the news they come and in slow times trying to stir conversation can get difficult and time consuming. I wish I had more help here at DN because there are days when I run out of ideas so its good when someone else opens a topic.

Starting conversation is single handedly the most difficult part about running a community, especially in the last 6-8 years. With the arrival of social media, all kinds of platform groups, and especially with Google getting ridiculously good at answering questions through insights in an instant (not even talking about AI tools right now), it has been the primary reason why forums in general have generally slaughtered by activity over the last 10-15 years. A sense of community and knowing who answers your questions are the only two factors why forums are still a thing.
