Just received this email from PayPal (1 Viewing)

Have seen several of these in my inbox too.

Many scams these days.. someone got duped for $70K USD last week.

email and text scams are back on the rise more than ever.

What makes it even more laughable is that I no longer have a paypal account.

I made sure to delete all my credit cards and delinked my financial institution before I cancelled the account.

I did this after PayPal made the fine announcement for what we can and cant say on social media.

It will be a cold day in hell before I allow any financial institution to dictate what I can and can't say. I can live without them quite easily and their stock took a nice hit after that fiasco.

Yes that phishing scam is going around a lot of late. It goes to addresses without any PayPal association. They are just blanket emailing all over the place.
Hopefully no one is falling for it, and eventually the bad actors will be caught.
