These three domains could have been acquired for under $35,000. As an investor, I considered purchasing them—not because I’m a proponent of .xyz, but to test the waters and see what would happen. However, I refrained, knowing that if I did, people would misconstrue it as me endorsing .xyz. That’s not the case at all.
Take Sex .xyz, for instance. It was sold for $2,150, but it comes with a hefty annual renewal fee of $13,000 . Yet, not a single person, including Swetha, took the plunge. If .xyz is truly the next big thing, why wouldn’t someone take that calculated risk?
The same goes for Porn .xyz, arguably an even more valuable keyword. Are we to believe that financial constraints prevented the purchase? That seems unlikely.
Some might argue that the adult nature of these domains deterred buyers. But if Swetha is the queen of .xyz, wouldn’t she have seized the opportunity without hesitation?
I even contemplated acquiring Queen. xyz to complement my ownership of Queen .com. But again, I held back, anticipating that her supporters would twist the narrative, suggesting I was either endorsing .xyz or attempting to undermine Swetha. I wasn’t willing to deal with that fallout.
The reality is, it’s all a façade. Fabricated stories and inflated claims. And it’s high time we call it out. We no longer bear the burden of proof—they do. Let me repeat. She is not the victim who we are. The end user is. The market is. There are a lot of victims and believe me, she is not one of them.
When she had an opportunity to finally set the record straight and clear things up, she let that expectation build for days for her fans and defenders to use (and if you dig a little deeper, maybe her fans are actually being manipulated to do her dirty work as they've done before over the years) and then chickened out. Plain and simple.
As a businessman, and there is a person with a brain to me, the evidence presented over the years is overwhelming. I was willing to hear her out. But I am done now I have made up my mind of what I believe. What I believe. And we all get to believe what we want.
The jury of business minds has been out to lunch for years, but I think the verdict is finally in. And there will always be believers and disbelievers. But in my mind and all the years I've been on this earth and in business, it doesn't pass the smell test.
