So if we have NO domains or services in our Sibername account, then nothing happens, right? The Sibername account disappears, and our existing WHC account stays the same?

If you have no domains or other active services in your Sibername account, your existing WHC account stays the same.

Great question and to add to this question. What happens to our referral commission balances and do we continue getting future commission or are we simply losing out completely on that?

I’m mostly referring to our recurring commission not new commission.

Good question, I'm mostly involved in the domain migration part, I'll find out for you.

Domains that move/transfer from Siber to WHC won't have the 60-day lock will they, [notify]FM[/notify]? I assume no but thought i'd ask.

No, no new 60 day lock on the domains, as they remain with the same registrar.

When domain accounts are transferred from Sibername to WHC, will you keep the same nameserver or url forwarding settings that the domains have, or do account holders have to login and check their settings?

Sorry for the delay here. The settings should remain active, but if you want to change them, you will be prompted to update the nameservers. [notify]domains[/notify]

PSA to all Siber account transfers to a NEW WHC account:

Confirm your updated Renewal Rates are what you anticipated

Noticed some at 13.99, others at 18.99 for some reason...

You need 75 domains to get the 10.99 wholesale renewals at whc.ca

I am working to put 75 domains in my account from TBR so I can get wholesale pricing for renewals.

PS Canspace renewal is 10.99 period but their registration and transfer fee is also 10.99 compared to the 9.99 registration and transfer at whc.

So technically you can register at whc for 9.99 and transfer to canspace at 10.99 without having to maintain 75 domains.

If you wanted to get real sneaky.....

You can transfer the domains back to WHC at 9.99 when they become due at Canspace the following year and you can repeat that cycle indefinitely taking advantage of the 9.99 transfer fee at WHC and then the renewal fee of 10.99 at Canspace.

So one year you pay 9.99, the next 10.99, the next 9.99 if you keep it going.

[notify]FM[/notify] WHC doesn't allow me to have no nameservers. That should absolutely be an option, to delete existing nameservers so there are none.

Good catch, I'll add that to my list. For now, if you would like no nameservers on one of your domains, please contact our support.

There's definitely some issues here with the renewal rates, please do reach out to our billing team if you notice any issue, we're working through them from our end as well.

Frank, although I'm pretty timely with renewals, just in case, is there anywhere I can view the exact day timelines and charges for WHC's Grace / Redemption / Pending Delete expiry periods.

I had it for Siber, but I can't seem to locate this on WHC. Thanks.

P.S. I have found various WHC articles like this but these are incomplete and don't include current charges:

I'll see what I can do to gather those and publish them, but it's a bit of a fluid situation as we're working through the details.

FYI - we just extended the grace period for .CA domains at WHC from the previous 20 days to 40 days.

I seriously need to hire an assistant to handle all my WHC support issues as it's quickly turning into a full-time job.

I was checking off my credit card invoices today and there was on WHC invoice I could not find. I went into my dashboard at WHC and try as I might the invoice was not to be found.

A few hours later I stumbled across a Sibername invoice in the missing amount and I realized I was billed under Sibername but charged under WHC.

No issues at all but it would be nice if the Sibername invoices were listed in the whc control panel.

I believe that this is something that we looked into when planning the migration and decided not to do this at this point. It is not planned going forward either, so please do download your invoices from Sibername.

Apparently, this is a limitation of WHMCS that we can't easily overcome at the moment, but I'll keep it in my list of features. For now, if this is something you need to do, please contact our support or me.
