Damn, I see BlackTusk.ca recently sold... another one I fought hard for and lost - wonder how much @theinvestor made on that transaction. :unsure:
 
Heavy TBR bidding on WHC, with mostly junk, but I did see one that I didn't notice initially (I'm staying away from low to mid-range LLLs) that actually has some potential:

BRX.ca

Some usage and the BRICKS phonetic going for it.

Okay, I quit!

I tried to order at WHC, but there were some domains from last week that were pushed ahead to this week and I got error after error after error that those domains "were not on the list" "please check next week", and even after I deleted them, my order still errored out.

The worst thing about this is that the system adds these domain to the Cart without issue and doesn't tell you anything is wrong until you get right to the end, then all hell breaks loose and you're absolutely toast. Arrrr

We ran into this problem early on with WHC and apparently it was fixed, but obviously there was a reversion or there are still bugs related to the common process where TBR domains aren't released on time and are pushed to the next week, so hopefully someday that gets fixed as I was totally screwed on my entire TBR order for this week. :mad: :devilish:

Sorry about this. Before you quit, would you mind DM'ing or emailing me with those domains? Looks like we still have a bug then on our end or re-introduced one.

As for why this happens, the most common case are invalid attempts to register these domains in a TBR run, IIRC. @richard.schreier might be able to confirm
 
@FM names that get pushed to the following week are, as you suggest, names that get caught only to find out later in the process there were errors in the "catching". The most common is not having a valid contact associated with the TBR registration. In these circumstances, long after the catching of that domain, our best option is to defer the name to the following week and allow all TBR participants fair access again.

I think it's a little from Column A and a little from Column B, but I will say that there's a lot of junk in them there hills.

There were only 16 total orders with a top price of only $44, and most were $20.

I think fewer and fewer people are using NP for the TBR, as they used to catch the odd top domain and then get a bid rush of bidders the next couple of weeks, but with the MyID/WHC arm's race continuing, that hasn't happened in a very long time.
 
Has anyone got their invoice from MyID?

I know they can take a very long time, but this is starting to stretch it, especially as they're now eTransfer-only.
 
No, but it's not that unheard of for it to go this long, I've had it take until Friday in the past. I didn't place bids at MyID this week though - I was on a road trip, didn't really care enough about anything to bid at MyID prices.

Hey Frank - I tried to place a bid on PinkLotus.ca and your system would not let me do it. It said it wasn't available this week or something like that. Can't remember exactly, I was in a rush, in a hotel room, too busy to deal with customer support.

In fact, it wouldn't let me submit my backorder of other domains until I removed that one from my cart. Only then could I submit my order. You know, @DomainRecap is right, some of these issues are frustrating if you're in a hurry or trying to put in your bids last second with no time to try and deal with customer support. It would be way smarter to simply put an interstitial page in, and then ask if we want to continue with the order without the problem domains.

But I see that PinkLotus.ca was actually acquired by WHC. I was hoping that since your system didn't recognize it, therefore wouldn't try and register it - and that I'd get it at a different registrar. But that didn't happen, WHC still got it. How did that happen???
