Seriously, are we supposed to bid on the auctions or is it a waste of time? The lack of information and direction is troubling and without Tom and Frank being members here we would be totally in the dark.
I started to write a vague post, but just got an official response (Thanks
@richard.schreier). The bulk of the TBR run stands, with corrections to 11 domains.CIRA is correcting 11 domains, and awarding them to the registrar that "should" have gotten them if whatever technical glitch had not "glitched". For baremetal that's +4 domains and -6 domains (including the loss of 73.ca).
I know ten of the affected domains (as they affected us).

Thanks for the info Tom. So were these the "lost domains" that were later picked up or could part of the main list (like Andrew or Dune) also be affected?
IOW, are the existing WHC auctions (that were part of the main run) safe to bid on?
all "lost" domains that were registered after the run. anything with a
Creation Date: 2023-03-22T19:.....
timestamp should be ok, it's the T20+ timestamps that will be affected. (As I understand it, and true for the 10 domains I know of.) -Tom

That's what the domains you listed looked like, as I always do a quick WHOIS at 3PM to see who won. Some of those "lost domains" were on my list (a few weren't) and thanks for the confirmation.

For awhile there I felt like I was starring in a Youtube remake of Michael Bay's The Rock, produced by CIRA and directed by MyID.
I just got an update from CIRA as well. It looks like at WHC we'll be able to run and complete the current auctions, as usual, today and also allow domain claims again.
There will be some domains that we caught and only assigned to us today, those will be auctioned in our auction next week.

In a twist, it looks like the big winner in the domain redistribution was... WHC, with BM coming in second.

AFAIK, the "clean up" is complete at BareMetal. Normal registrations are all billed, contacts assigned, etc. rentersinsurance.ca got refunded, and a few clients will be getting "strange" contact updated messages for domains CIRA has re-assigned away from us (73.ca, choral.ca, hajj.ca, rentersinsurance.ca, torontolimos.ca, zima.ca). Dang it! I was busy bidding people up on other auctions when Dune just unceremoniously dropped off the list at just $340. That's a pretty good deal and I assumed it would keep going for awhile as I screwed around with the mid-range crap (and lost), but alas it was not to be.

Checking onto this - the auction is actually supposed to end next week now on the 30th now - but it looks like our system is not displaying the time correctly.I just checked and 73.ca is now at auction on WHC (price is currently $260), and I can only assume the system will keep adding an hour until tomorrow.
Also, as TBR auction invoices delayed until tomorrow because of the extended 73.ca auction?

We've removed the auctions for this and the other domains due to the interface issue, they will restart on the coming Wednesday and the timer should run correctly then, our apologies.I just checked and 73.ca is now at auction on WHC (price is currently $260), and I can only assume the system will keep adding an hour until tomorrow.
Also, are TBR auction invoices being delayed until tomorrow because of the extended 73.ca auction?
