I put in 5 and got 2... in auction at Siber/WHC for 2 more

How was NP on the delivery of your names? My names were paid for, in my account and emails sent all by 2:15pm. That's gotta be some kind of record

Ditto *THUMBSUP*
Earlier for me but I am on th west coast

Does Siber still not auto-charge your card though? That's the one thing I wish they did to make it a seamless process like NP

At Siber it goes to the “make a payment” section right away an then you make your payment. I don’t mind this as sometimes I want to use funds other than CC.
I have funds added at my NP account but they still just use my CC on account

Pretty much a one click process at Siber if you have your card on file there. As soon as you submit payment you can go to your account manager and the domains are there.

No they don't, but I like it this way. I don't see the need or benefit (for us) to be auto-charged when you're bound to check-in to see if you won. Plus it gives you the chance to switch up cards if you ever wanted to.

Agree. Is it really too time-consuming to click a button or two, once a week? :)

Agreed and I use a small limit on my online-only card (for liability purposes) so I'm always paying it off and staggering my domain payments during holidays and other bank delays.

Plus, the only way to change your CC for TBR payments is to use "Make a Payment" and change it on that screen - the only other method is to "create a new charge" like renew or register a domain before any proposed TBR auto-payment.

I think I got a big goose egg with a huge lump of coal inside... as usual.

And no wonder, as it looks like MyID robbed the store this time - my Picks 1-6 were all nabbed by MyID and it looks like Siber cooked the goose this week.

Yep, Siber only picked up 14% of the first round picks... I'm guessing MyID doubled down on their dominance and bought more TBR connections too.

It was a terrible performance by Siber where again they burst out of the gate fast with some very strange early picks (all bullseyes), and then went back to sleep and allowed MyID to take a long string of uninterrupted first rounders - MyID took 17 of 19 from slots 3 to 21.

And these were the cream of the crop this week:

3 steamers.ca MyID
4 melio.ca MyID
5 windcrest.ca MyID
6 980.ca Sibername
7 habit.ca MyID
8 anglers.ca MyID
9 raincoat.ca Sibername
10 albertan.ca MyID
11 norse.ca MyID
12 bitcoinonline.ca MyID
13 parisien.ca MyID
14 prohome.ca MyID
15 amazed.ca MyID
16 swans.ca MyID
17 banknote.ca MyID
18 ijobs.ca MyID
19 sorbet.ca MyID
20 tradewinds.ca MyID
21 italic.ca MyID

I honestly believe that WHC had no idea of how much geographical proximity helped add to Siber's exceptional TBR record - the only way to beat MyID in Toronto is to get closer to the CIRA servers in Ottawa. And Siber used to be real close.

Yes, Sibername has the best post-TBR payment & domain assignment, but they still don't have any useful bulk domain tools or default DNS settings, etc...

And I'm afraid that WHC is going to completely f-up the good parts of Sibername when they eventually migrate that functionality into WHC's current account interface and then shut down Sibername. The WHC system is just brutal to deal with. For a hosting company, it looks horrible that their own website is SLOW AF. I really don't look forward to that day.

I bought iLegal.ca at whc just to try them out and unless I buy some other control panel I can do absolutely squat.

I decided to stay with my current registrars, trying to manage my domains at whc would be a logistical nightmare.

I think it the same reason mechanics drive shitty cars, and contractor's homes always need fixing up.

So which one of you went after FatGirl.ca?

Previous owner held it since 2010, and fatgirls.ca has been regged since 2007. There are a few different uses I can think of for these, some good some bad...

Hey all, following this thread.

Can you let us know what tools specifically you believe are required to make WHC a no-brainer for you?

I see bulk domain tools or default DNS settings is a huge one. Is there anything else?
