lotsofcoffee said:Blame the government: they flood the system with all sorts of stimulus. All the extra money drives the prices of everything, including domains, higher.
People who hold assets see the value of their assets go up and get even wealthier. People who do not have assets see their cost of living go up and struggle even more to get by.
That being said, as a practical matter, even without a lot of money, you can make money domaining. Most of the domains I buy are in the $50 to $100 range, and I make that work.
Also, domaining is a really a long-term play - over time you will build up a portfolio, which will yield several sales per year.

DomainTrader said:Domaining is a LONG game not a short one
People buy homes with Long time lines for payment and profit
Domains the same
I sold a twenty two year old domain last week! Worthless for 21 years but well worth the wait

aactive said:If you have a development use for diet.ca, it is still cheap at it's present price. But for resale...much tougher.
Spex said:With a price like that, I wonder if an real end-user somehow got into the TBR to snag Diet.ca
Or maybe a frontrunner reached out to a bunch of end-users and firmed up a deal ahead of time and was playing with house money?
aactive said:I do all those things for multiple domains with no issues. But, that's just me.

I had forgotten what a trend setter englebert was
Not only sos he set the standard for the flow. (Hair) but he was obviously a huge influence on those who would follow him like Millie Vanilli for example
