Don't know if I've ever been in that many auctions before. :D Look out everyone!

Don't want to mention the number but I am in too many auctions that I have lost count.

Managed to get some domains without having to get into any auctions .... Wondering if that is a good thing or not..LOL

hahaha same

I think I blacked out at one point and just started adding domains randomly to be part of the auction fun...

What happened to trailers/ca?

Edit: nm, that's next week :)

Edit 2: actually pretty sure it's this week...but it seems invisible?

I was surprised it wasn't in TBR this week either... I just chalked it up to my source list of TBR domains being wrong, glad I'm not the only one to have thought that.

There were quite a few domains that should have dropped this week, but I guess the registrars didn't make the deadline and they got pushed to next week. Happens from time to time when a registrar doesn't properly release an expired domain to the CIRA.

I should admit that I will miss the Sibername TBR bidding much after seeing what WHC had to offer and the glitches I found.

I was trying to bid on a domain and it was showing me an amount 5 times I was wanting to bid and then when I corrected it in the "Update proxy bid" it showed me that the domain auction was already ended. I did not take screen shots, as I was in too many auctions and was trying to follow the auctions.. but feel the Sibername model was so easy and convenient to follow.

RIP Sibername TBR window!!

I think the total amount spent on TBR bids exceeded $60K today for all the domains. Not a bad week for the Registrars. With Bets.ca and Dental.ca going (back) to MyID, they should have raked in 50%+ of the total.

that's how we stay within budget in the domaining world.

That's a great piece of advice. I had to miss out on a $20K and $8K domain for the same reason.. LOL

But with all the talk about the WHC fiasco on iso.ca, I decided to open a ticket to get information on the status of the auctions. I do know I won a few domains there, but never received a confirmation for the bid I placed or a winning notice.

I did receive an outbid notification on two other domains that I wasn't much interested in.. but the ones I placed the bids were the ones I was going after and was showing up in green as "winning"

Honestly, I wasn't pleased with the way it was handled or we were notified. When we place a bid, prior to the TBR deadline, we are notified of our bid - except for a couple of weeks ago, when the notification showed up only after the TBR run was over, stating there was an error in the system.

But during the auction, every bid and winning bid should be notified, including the outbid notice. This would eradicate issues like ISO.ca happening again.

I tried calling WHC immediately and was trying to get to the crux of this, only to be greeted by an email, explaining on FAQs and terms & conditions for TBR.

I had to tell the guy that I was here, before WHC was, and had been doing this TBR thingie since late 2000. I hate it when CSAs try to answer even before you ask the question.

Can [notify]FM[/notify] let us know, when WHC confirms the winnings and the invoices are issued?

I won a domain at Sibername too. But this time, Sibername has also not issued an invoice, which they were very punctual in the weeks past.

Oh boy.. is this what we are entering into with the new WHC era?? Or are they trying to be cautious after the ISO.ca saga?

I got BioMedical.ca and mnn.ca

[notify]MapleDots[/notify] Did you receive a confirmation of your winning or an invoice to pay after your winning them at WHC?? Just curious.

I just got my invoice and win notification

I agree [notify]Eby[/notify]…it’s like whc is still trying to figure out how to streamline it like Siber did…and they’re not there yet. And strangely they had a great model to work from if they so choose. ;)
