that's how we stay within budget in the domaining world.
That's a great piece of advice. I had to miss out on a $20K and $8K domain for the same reason.. LOL
But with all the talk about the WHC fiasco on iso.ca, I decided to open a ticket to get information on the status of the auctions. I do know I won a few domains there, but never received a confirmation for the bid I placed or a winning notice.
I did receive an outbid notification on two other domains that I wasn't much interested in.. but the ones I placed the bids were the ones I was going after and was showing up in green as "winning"
Honestly, I wasn't pleased with the way it was handled or we were notified. When we place a bid, prior to the TBR deadline, we are notified of our bid - except for a couple of weeks ago, when the notification showed up only after the TBR run was over, stating there was an error in the system.
But during the auction, every bid and winning bid should be notified, including the outbid notice. This would eradicate issues like ISO.ca happening again.
I tried calling WHC immediately and was trying to get to the crux of this, only to be greeted by an email, explaining on FAQs and terms & conditions for TBR.
I had to tell the guy that I was here, before WHC was, and had been doing this TBR thingie since late 2000. I hate it when CSAs try to answer even before you ask the question.
