Thanks for doing this [notify]MapleDots[/notify]. Will this be available to watch later on for those that can’t make it?

Is this open to all members or moderators?
I would certainly like to attend but my work schedule is a little “on the fly” currently so it will be very close to the time before I know.

The meeting is open to all moderators or trusted members.
If we have room it may also be opened to members, I will post the meet link before the date.

Any regular members that would like to participate or post a question can also let me know in topic.

Is the Sibername website going to remain and function as is, or will it be merged into WHC and disappear at some point?

Could DN.ca members get a group discount on registrations, renewals, TBR? Together we could easily be over 10,000 domains I'd guess just in .ca

The Sibername account manager doesn't really condense the domains very well, if you had hundreds of domains it would be hard to scroll through them , compared to sites where each domain is shown on a line like a spreadsheet.

I do wish that Siber and MyID closed their auctions at the same time. That way, if you are chasing more than one name you could see how they are playing out as they get close to the end and maybe just focus on one important one...especially if you have a budget you want to stick to.

Can you specify preferred time?

For me, I don't really care what time the auctions end, just that they end at the same time. The 1 PM EST seems to work well across Canada, but less of a concern for me.

I'm not a fan of them closing at the same time. Its bad enough sometimes juggling a half dozen auctions on one platform. I don't want to juggle 2 platforms at the same instant.

But what about closing the TBR Preorders at some point? Last week the system remained up until 2PM and beyond, and never shut down giving the "TBR Processing" message.

It should shut down at 1:45-1:50 like the rest, as otherwise I have no idea how they're going to add in a 1:59:59 order or bid to a 2PM lightning start. Maybe that "extended opening" caused the "mid-level lull" that resulted in several $35-$100 auctions seemingly being passed over during the processing.

Personally, I am extremely hesitant to use a TBR system that is accepting preorders up to and beyond 2PM. There has to be some processing and server list allocation time, as even speedy MyID halts all TBR preorders at 1:50, thus giving them a full 10 minutes to process order lists and get set.

Would love for someone from WHC to speak about the difficult/bad user experience is setting TXT records as mentioned in my post in their 'Black Friday' thread

If they want to expand into the domain registrar business, they'll need to make some major improvements
