Summer Doldrums & Winter Blues (5.Viewing)

well congratulations. I figured it was because you were taking your vacation from crawling through five hundred yards of shit smelling foulness, otherwise known as the domain offers inbox.

Was it anything to write home about?

Yeah, I did 'crawl through five hundred yards of shit smelling foulness' and then came out the other side into the cleansing rain.

As for the sale, not bad, not great, just average. But it's a lot better than yet another time-wasting deadbeat.

And as for my plan (which I reserve the right to enact at a future date) I was going to take a few weeks-to-a month off and just auto-hit "Reject Offer" on anything and everything that came in. I need to waste time negotiating with these slack-jawed retards like I need a hole in the head.

its been good here, but I have had a bunch of recent negotiations that got very close to closing, but then have stalled. Two stubborn people just being stubborn, for example, after a bunch of back and fort I said $10K USD bottom line and they said $9K USD and neither has budged and radio silence for 2 weeks. But I expect that when they're ready to move on the project, they'll just pay, I mean, who would pay $9K but refuse to pay $10K? But the reality is that a lot of people buy domains but then never move on the project after acquisition. Not sure how that one is going to pan out, I guess time will tell. There's actually a few like that where we're pretty close, but I've already said my bottom line is $X and they keep trying to negotiate down. I had one guy that said "well the payment plan would help" and so I agreed to do the payment plan at the cash-now bottom line price. Then he comes back with, well, we really don't want to not own the domain for 3 years, so would you take $Y instead of payment plan?. I had to just say no, felt like a switch and bait move, so I wasn't going to give in to that. Bottom line means bottom line. So we're just $1500 apart where it really isn't a huge difference. Another one I'm waiting for a bank wire from china. So I've got a few that are all sitting at a coin toss chance of going through - or not.

Had an offer this week from a big company ( 8 figure evaluation) from Quebec for one of my 2 letter one word .ca’s. Initial offer came in at $1000 USD. It looks like they are looking to move on from their 15 letter .com and realized that a 2 letter .ca is the way to go……. IF the price is right!
