I currently have a list of about 20 .CA sales over $100,000

Have you sold a .CA for 6-figures or more?

I'd like to compile a bigger "PRIVATE" list

If you are interested in sharing privately your 6-figure sale via DM to LCM @LCM , I will not publicly release the list - but I intend to compile the sales and then send them all back via DM to the contributors-ONLY - without seller info - just the domains and prices.

It would be a very useful list for high-end sellers.

Thoughts?

I have a couple too - that include NDAs but I think my NDAs specifically refer to not making the sale "Public" - I'll check the language but I don't think it prevents me from telling my "friends" and "family" privately about the sales.

yeah, but the problem is if you're sharing the list with a bunch of people.... then who knows if it goes public.

What kind of .ca domains do you price over $100K? nouns? verbs? 1-word category EMDs? 3L? CVCV? Multiple tm owners?

What is an ultra premium LLL .ca? Is there a list? I have a few 3Ls.

I would say ones that are extremely memorable, like ABC or 123 or A2Z (yes, I know this is about LLL, not NNN or LNL, but they are great examples of memorable). Also ones that are well known acronyms like GPS or BTC; or short words like BUY, LAW, AIR, JET, MAP, ION, INK, ETC; or even YYZ, YVR, YYC, etc...

To me the key is not just being a random acronym, its going to have to have some meaning and be extremely memorable to command 6-figs.

If you see random letters like say KSJ.ca on a tv commercial or billboard, you probably wont remember it. If you saw ABC.ca in a commercial or on a billboard, you're definitely not forgetting it. Pretty much any of those examples I gave are going to have an incredibly high level of brand recall in comparison to the KSJ.ca example or any other random letter combination. To me, that's the value.

Of course you might get lucky with some random 3 letter combo, have a company build a successful brand on another extension and then eventually want to buy the .CA. In that case, you could get lucky and just find that your $100K+ price is a nothing-burger to them and they just pay it. But that's not stratetic investing, that's just luck.

You're right. I don't know why GoDaddy values some random 3L .ca domains so high. Even ones with an "x" or a "z." It's not like many businesses use them in Canada.

For example:
wxk .ca at $5656 (registered in 33 TLDs)
czv .ca at $5189 (registered in 54 TLDs)
nxv .ca at $4336 (registered in 40 TLDs)

Seems no one wants to "privately" share their 6-figure sales - what can you do? 🤷‍♂️

I'm eventually going to share one - will tell you that it is unreported and sold for $308,000 CAD ($250k USD)

Without giving away any "secret" details - who out there has an unreported sale over $100,000 ?

When did it occur? Yours? If so, congrats!
