Besides bidding at grape is new to me
New to me as well but I have to say, I thought I was entering Area 51 when I was doing the signup process. But kudos to them as a way to prevent less non paying/fraudulent bidders.

I just want to know how someone can bid on a domain and not pay right away. That seems like an unfair advantage. I mean it has been nearly a week and it hasn’t changed hands so that tells me that bidder didn’t pay.

Someone got cold feet when the next bid did not come in... maybe?

That’s great and all but is grape going to keep that a secret or what? Some communication would be nice since I was second highest bidder and that bidder started bidding at 4K.

With Grape, they can take a very long time getting the domain into your cart to pay, as it's a manual process, even worse than MyID.

A week should be fine, but the last time I won something I was very surprised I couldn't just click the "Add to Cart" button, as it didn't work.

I would think on a $7,500 domain they would be adding it almost immediately.

Also, I thought that was the whole point of taking my credit card information. So they can charge it automatically.

You'd think so, wouldn't you.

But again, a week is more than enough as I think I won one on Wednesday and got the invoice on Friday, but it is a very manual process at the moment.

I think the buyer is probably hedging or looking for extra time to pay, and it's probably 50-50 that CBD.ca might reappear on the Grape auction page in the future.

I suppose they might have paid but had the domain pushed into their grape account, leaving it up to the buyer to update the registrant.

I think once it's transferred to your account, the domain no longer points to the Grape TBR auction page. In my case it didn't.

they could be doing e-transfers $2K per day? I think its just too soon to start making too many speculations. One more week and then I think something is fishy.

@rlm always giving the benefit of the doubt! I’m glad you’re the voice of reason here. But seriously I can do 10K a day. I think standard e-transfer is 3K. Either way it shouldn’t take this long. But let’s wait and see…

Just do an International Money Transfer, the trusted tool of thieves and scammers everywhere, which is totally unregulated and has a unchangeable daily limit of between $75K and $100K. Yes folks, that a cool $3 million a month!

No wonder 99 of 100 thieves choose International Money Transfers!
