Sorry, I am still not too advanced on these abbreviations, but what does NP stand for exactly?

In my mind, if there was at least two $5000 bids with the winning register (assuming they have an auction), the auction would start at $5000, not $2000. Isn't it supposed to work this way?

NamesPro. Last week their top preorder bid (obviously for Commerce) was $5,003.00, but they didn't win it.

But that guy willing to pay $5000+ for the domain is still out there.

It's not me. That name just doesn't do it for me. I know the independent valuations rate it nicely for a .ca and it could make a nice sale one day, but from my perspective it's almost too generic which explains why the usage, existing companies and trademarks that almost always include a second word, usually in the {word}commerce form. Hopefully someone has a good idea and bought it to develop themselves.

You're preaching to the choir.

Don't get me wrong, I would have bought it for a few hundred bucks, but I just don't see the brand applicability and differentiation needed for a "domain math profitable" retail sale at almost $8000 wholesale. Like you, I hope someone bought the domain to develop, or at least made a nice 5-figure sale and needed to dump some cash for tax purposes.
